Saw American Idiot on Broadway. It was absolutely amazing and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I first heard the album American Idiot my senior year in college while fully entrenched in the bowels of suburbia/rural nothingness. My friends and I likened ourselves to the angst driven youth of America, indulging ourselves in the idiocy of small town college life where nothing ever happens. It was a transition point in my life where things were out of control and Boulevard of Broken dreams became my anthem even though I was just starting on the road of life. American Idiot on Broadway is a sophisticated emotional display of music with minimal dialog and lots of actions. Sitting in the third row orchestra, I experienced an aspect of Broadway that I had never had the pleasure of before - seeing the emotional expression on the actors faces that in many ways speak stronger than any words or music. Go see it now before it gets so popular that you can’t get tickets.
