Random Photo Thought of the Day
When I travel, it’s easy for me, with camera in hand, to proceed with a mission of capturing the beauty that a location has to offer.  Sometimes it’s easy to forget that the city I live in has just as much to offer.  Here’s one of my favorites from a recent photo walk I did at the Chicago Cultural Center

Random Photo Thought of the Day
Her name is Murphy, although I like to call her Murphus.  She’s a mix of good things.  I use to make fun of her all the time for not having any facial expressions although these days I like to think it’s cause she’s always deep in thought.  Over thanksgiving I’m pretty sure the only thought she had in her little dog head was how much turkey she wanted to eat.
She recently got a new doggie bed and instead of sleeping in it, she likes to burrow underneath it and the only thing you can see is her tail, which wags happily away.

How to choose/buy an dSLR camera

Friends and family often ask me for advice when buying a new camera.  Now that SLRs in the consumer range are so good, many people are moving from simple point and shoots (P&S) to the bigger cameras. There are a slew of web articles out there that attempt to answer that question, often with mixed results.  I think a lot of the answers are too technical.  I’m going to try to answer this as simply as possible.  My answer might be too technical, but heck I’ll give it a try.

The only thing you have to really know about photography before jumping in is that it’s all about capturing light.  The more light that you want to the capture, the more money you’ll likely need to spend.  Everything is governed by light.  It’s as simple as that.

Anonymous asked: Hello, dear King Lau! These days I am really in hard searching for paper alternative. Apple's devices too much expencive for me. I want to buy some Android powered toy. And my question is: will your amazing hand make pen work on android capacitive touch screens under androidOS. Thanks in advance!

Hello Friend,

The DIY stylus should work with the android touch screens without a problem since they are basically the same technology.

Random thought

Brad Pitt and I are on the same page. I’m all for Ecofriendly hand dryers in the bathrooms instead of paper towels but what I am supposed to do when I splash water on my face. At least with the old school dryers I have a chance. With the new dysons, I’m completely SOL.
